2026 SABS Youth Development Programme: Customer Partnering
The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) is the national statutory body responsible for maintaining South African standards and promoting quality across various industries. We are inviting talented, unemployed graduates to join our one-year Youth Development Programme starting in April 2026.
This internship is designed to provide graduates with practical work experience, professional mentoring, and learning opportunities that align with national skills priorities.
Programme Overview
- Job Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
- Stipend: R8,000.00 per month
- Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
- Closing Date: 6th March 2026
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must have completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- Must have achieved a minimum academic average of 80% for the completed qualification.
- Must have no formal work experience related to the field of study.
- Must be currently unemployed.
Duties and Responsibilities
During the 12-month programme, successful candidates will:
- Participate in structured training and development initiatives.
- Gain hands-on workplace experience through rotational assignments.
- Assist with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks.
- Apply academic knowledge to practical, real-world work environments.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet departmental objectives.
- Submit regular progress reports and complete required assessments.
- Comply with all organisational policies and professional standards.
