2026 SABS Youth Development Programme: Human Capital Services (12-Month Internship)
The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) is the national institution dedicated to promoting and maintaining standardization and quality in South Africa. We are currently inviting talented, unemployed graduates to apply for our one-year Youth Development Programme starting in April 2026.
This programme is designed to provide graduates with practical work experience, professional mentoring, and learning opportunities that align with national skills development goals. Participants will receive a monthly stipend of R8,000.00 for the duration of the 12-month contract.

What You Will Do
This programme focuses on equipping youth with meaningful workplace experience through structured learning. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in structured training and development initiatives.
- Gaining hands-on experience through rotational assignments within the Human Capital department.
- Assisting with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks.
- Applying your academic knowledge to solve real-world workplace challenges.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet organizational objectives.
- Submitting progress reports and completing required assessments during the programme.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Hold a completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Have achieved a minimum academic average of 80% for your completed qualification.
- Have no previous formal work experience related to your field of study.
- Be currently unemployed.
