Floor Assistant – GWK Retail, Kimberley

Job Summary:
As a Floor Assistant, you will be responsible for moving merchandise from the stockroom to the retail floor, ensuring shelves are well-stocked, and overseeing the safe loading and unloading of goods.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full Time
- Qualification: Matric (Grade 12 or NQF4)
- Experience: 1 – 3 years in retail, warehousing, or logistics
- Location: Kimberley, Northern Cape
Key Responsibilities:
- Move merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
- Mark prices clearly and pack items neatly onto shelves.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo and goods.
- Ensure all loads are secured and weight is distributed according to safety standards.
- Inspect goods and paperwork for accuracy before they are dispatched.
- Coordinate tasks with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and reconciliations.
- Report any damaged goods or incidents during the loading process.
- Help maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Previous experience in agricultural retail is highly recommended.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform heavy-duty tasks.
- Knowledge of load planning and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays based on a roster.
- A clear criminal record.
