About the Role

Clicks Group is a leading retail healthcare provider in Southern Africa. We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified Post Basic) to join our team at the Whale Coast Mall branch. Your primary focus will be providing excellent pharmaceutical care and managing daily dispensary administration to ensure patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will handle the technical and administrative aspects of the pharmacy while maintaining high standards of customer service. Your duties will include:

  • Interacting with customers professionally and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Accurately capturing and processing scripts and managing patient profiles.
  • Handling queries regarding prescriptions and chronic medication authorizations.
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Ensuring all dispensary tasks follow the company’s Standard Operating Plans (SOPs).
  • Assisting with over-the-counter (OTC) product advice and sales.

What We Are Looking For

We need a team player who is organized, ethical, and able to work effectively under pressure. Candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products (including OTC), SAPC regulations, and chronic authorization procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy.
  • Communication: Must be bilingual (English is required) with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a positive, proactive attitude.

Requirements

  • Education: Further Education and Training Certificate: Pharmacist Assistance (Essential).
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the role of Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic.
