About the Role

The Limpopo Department of Education is looking for 11 qualified individuals to join our team as Assistant Directors for Examination and Assessment. Our mission is to provide high-quality, innovative education programs for learners across all grades and achieve excellence in basic education.

Minimum Requirements

  • A relevant NQF level 6 qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • At least five years of experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience must be at a supervisory or lower management level (Level 7 or 8).
  • A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong computer literacy.

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • Legislation: A deep understanding of Public Service policies, regulations, and frameworks.
  • Management: Proven skills in both human resource and financial management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and work well with others.
  • Organization: Strong analytical and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership: The ability to lead, manage, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams across different departments.
  • Problem Solving: A proactive approach to decision-making and resolving complex issues.

Core Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing examination and assessment processes. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with provincial and national education policies, and maintaining a high level of organizational efficiency within the department.
