About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant to provide essential pharmaceutical services to our hospital and outpatients. The successful candidate will ensure that patient needs are met in a responsible, cost-effective, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Management: Order ethical and surgical stock from approved suppliers several times a day to ensure consistent supply.
- Emergency Supplies: Replenish emergency stock daily and conduct comprehensive audits twice a month to maintain accuracy.
- Dispensing: Assist with dispensing medication to hospital wards and individual in-patients, carefully checking for allergies and drug interactions.
- Service Quality: Deliver efficient, high-quality service using available resources.
- Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of conduct, showing respect, self-control, and assertiveness in all interactions with patients and staff.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification, currently registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist Assistant.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or retail pharmacy environment.
- Advanced computer literacy.
