CJM Driver – Delmas

Dis-Chem Pharmacies, South Africa’s leading pharmaceutical retailer, is looking for a professional CJM Driver to join our distribution team. This role is based in Delmas and will support the CJ Distribution team in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving equipment, stock, and products safely to their required destinations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 2 to 3 years of experience as a company driver.
• South African citizenship.
• Clear criminal record and credit rating.
• Reliable transport to and from work.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery and Logistics

• Transport products to various locations safely, politely, and on time.
• Follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Take full responsibility for stock and products during the delivery process to prevent damage or loss.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is signed and accurate.
• Maintain updated vehicle logbooks.

Vehicle Maintenance

• Keep the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and out.
• Conduct daily inspections for any defects and report concerns to management immediately.
• Strictly follow all road traffic rules and regulations.
• Ensure the vehicle is never left unattended during deliveries.

Warehouse and Operations Support

• Assist the team with picking, counting, boxing, and wrapping stock for shipment.
• Help label and dispatch promotional materials.
• Assist with stock-taking and keep stock rooms clean and tidy.
• Help maintain and clean company pool cars, including checking water and oil levels.

Customer Service

• Build positive relationships with internal teams and external customers.
• Maintain a professional manner when dealing with clients.
• Report customer feedback or complaints to management.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of South African road rules.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading heavy packages.
• A proactive, trustworthy, and self-motivated work ethic.
• High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
