Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Artisan Instrumentation Gr 1 to join our team in Secunda. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing essential instrumentation systems while ensuring all operations meet our strict safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Execution: Implement daily unit plans, monitor performance against targets, and report progress to stakeholders.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose faults and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic instrumentation systems.
  • Equipment Installation: Oversee the installation and calibration of equipment based on technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Technical Support: Conduct technical investigations, inspections, and testing to identify risks and implement long-term solutions.
  • Financial Management: Manage expenditures within the assigned budget and monitor financial reports to identify and correct anomalies.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain high SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) standards by resolving issues quickly and ensuring full compliance with regulations.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external teams through clear communication and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification.
  • A valid Instrumentation Trade Test Certificate.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • A BTech in Instrumentation or a similar field will be considered a strong advantage.
