Key Responsibilities

As the Deputy Director for Eco-DRR Landscape Management, you will lead the technical design and coordination of assigned projects. Your main duties will include:

  • Leading the technical planning and execution of project outcomes.
  • Providing professional guidance to district teams and partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Managing knowledge documentation and adapting project strategies as needed.
  • Working closely with Monitoring and Evaluation teams to track performance and safety standards.
  • Contributing to capacity building, quality assurance, and long-term technical planning.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional standards:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Ecology, Biology, Botany, or a related field.
  • Added Advantage: A postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) in any of the fields mentioned above.
  • Professional Experience: At least 8 years of work experience in a relevant scientific field.
  • Management Experience: At least 4 years of experience in a first-line management role.
