Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Technician, you will be responsible for managing spatial data and providing technical support to ensure the success of our biodiversity projects. Your main duties will include:
- Collecting spatial data and creating maps to support project objectives.
- Performing detailed spatial analysis to help achieve project outcomes.
- Providing GIS guidance and technical support to district teams and project partners.
- Assisting with human capital development and team growth.
- Ensuring integration across different project phases and outcomes.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Ecology, Biology, Botany, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 4 years of work experience in a relevant field, specifically with skills in data curation, management, and analysis.
- Additional Qualifications: A post-graduate qualification (NQF 8) in the sciences is not required but will be considered a significant advantage.
