The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is an organization dedicated to the research and management of South Africa’s biodiversity resources. We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Principal Technician specializing in GIS and Ecosystem Accounting.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Gathering, creating, and managing spatial and non-spatial data to support ecosystem accounting and related research.
- Performing detailed spatial and data analyses.
- Developing and translating technical reports and knowledge products.
- Helping to train and develop staff members within the sub-directorate.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field. A postgraduate degree (NQF 8) is an added advantage.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Specialized Experience: At least 1 year of experience in procurement, logistics, records management, and project or event management is required.
