Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.
  • Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker, including proof of payment for 2024.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience as a Social Worker after your initial registration with the SACSSP.

Preferred Qualifications and Knowledge

The following will be considered an advantage:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Professional experience in child and youth care.
  • Familiarity with Inclusive Education (IE) policies, specifically White Paper 6 and the SIAS policy.
  • Knowledge of guidelines for full-service schools, special schools, and resource centers.
  • Understanding of “Care and Support for Teaching and Learning” (CSTL) and the Integrated School Health Policy.
