Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Surgical Stores Assistant to manage and distribute medical supplies. The successful candidate will ensure that our wards and operating theaters have the correct stock and equipment needed to provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and issue stock for wards and theaters, ensuring all items and quantities are accurate.
- Manage the billing process for all issued stock to ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitor and control inventory levels within the Surgical Stores.
- Place orders for new stock as needed to maintain required levels.
- Reconcile delivery invoices against received stock to ensure orders are complete.
- Assist with barcoding and labeling items for tracking.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid Matric certificate.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Good knowledge of surgical and medical supplies.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a hospital or pharmacy environment is preferred.
