The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is responsible for providing public healthcare services to the people of the Western Cape. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Deputy Director for HIV Prevention, focusing on the Late Life Course.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- An appropriate 3-year Degree (or equivalent) in a Health-Related field.
- Current registration with the South African Health Professions Council (HPCSA) or the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Extensive experience in managing and coordinating public health programs.
- Extensive experience in policy development, translation, and implementation.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel to various districts and national offices.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Advanced computer literacy.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and policy documents.
- Analytical skills to evaluate healthcare service performance and recommend improvements.
- Solid project management and research capabilities.
- A thorough understanding of the legal, clinical, and managerial aspects of public health.
