Job Purpose

Eskom is the primary electricity provider in South Africa, supplying nearly 95% of the country’s power. We are looking for a dedicated Security Operations Officer to help protect our infrastructure and ensure the safety of our operations in the Free State region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Execution: Turn the business unit’s security strategy into effective daily operations.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and control all security resources and personnel.
  • Contractor Supervision: Oversee security service providers and contractors to ensure they meet Eskom’s standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain systems to track and improve security performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Supervise health and safety programs within the security department.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: A National Diploma in Risk Security or Police Management (NQF Level 6).
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in security operations.
  • Professional Registration: Must be registered with PSIRA at Grade B level.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Legal: Must have a clean criminal record.
  • Firearm Competency: Must be competent in handling firearms for business purposes.
