About the QCTO
The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) was established in 2010 to oversee the design, implementation, and certification of occupational qualifications and trades in South Africa. We ensure that skills development meets the standards required for the national workforce.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated intern to provide administrative and research support to our Legal Services unit. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate to gain practical experience in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, vet, and help draft Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct background research and preparatory work on labor law matters.
- Research legislation and policies relevant to the QCTO.
- Summarize administrative law principles to support core business operations.
- Review invoices from external legal providers for reporting purposes.
- Draft routine legal letters and affidavits under professional supervision.
Requirements
- A recognized National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in LLB.
- Must be an unemployed South African citizen between 18 and 35 years old.
- No previous work experience is required.
- Applicants must not have participated in any other internship program before.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Gauteng Province.
Required Skills
- Strong legal drafting abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Innovative thinking and a proactive approach to work.
