The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is a state insurer that provides cover to drivers in South Africa for liability and damages resulting from motor vehicle accidents. We are currently seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our Johannesburg office.

Key Responsibilities
Legal Support and Research
- Conduct legal research and verify public records for attorneys.
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather important information.
- Analyze and organize data related to litigation cases.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and legal proceedings.
Document Management
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and discovery files.
- Summarize depositions and other complex legal documents.
- Maintain and organize case files and update file registers regularly.
Reporting and Performance
- Prepare and submit necessary regulatory and performance reports.
- Develop systems to improve functional reporting for management.
- Provide regular progress updates to help inform management decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle inquiries and information requests efficiently.
- Work with vendors and service providers to ensure invoices are processed and paid on time.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law or a similar qualification.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in a legal environment.
