Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) plus a basic qualification in Nursing (Diploma or Degree) that allows for registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of recognizable experience in nursing after registering with the SANC.
  • At least three (3) years of the experience mentioned above must be at a management level.
  • A Diploma or Degree in Nursing Administration and Management will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Clinical Supervision: Coordinate and oversee the delivery of efficient, high-quality patient care. Lead health promotion initiatives to ensure accurate information is shared with patients.
  • Staff Management: Manage human resources, including staff performance and development. Build and maintain positive working relationships with nursing staff and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Resource Management: Monitor the proper use of financial and physical resources. Manage the department budget in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Quality Control: Oversee quality management protocols, including infection control, clinical audits, and information management.
  • Policy Implementation: Participate in creating and implementing nursing guidelines, standards, procedures, and strategic plans.
