Role Overview
In this position, you will report to the Engineering Coordinator. You will be responsible for meeting production targets while ensuring strict compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) systems. This role involves a mix of planned maintenance, emergency breakdown repairs, and project-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high safety standards for yourself and your team.
- Ensure all legal requirements and management decisions are implemented correctly.
- Perform routine maintenance and attend to mechanical breakdowns.
- Execute project-related tasks as required.
- Follow all mine standards and operational procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Relevant Trade Test Certificate.
- Full N2 Certificate including relevant trade theory.
- A Portfolio of Evidence (PoE), SETA statement of results, or a Learnership agreement supporting your trade qualification.
- A minimum of three years’ experience as an Artisan Fitter within a plant and mining environment.
- Must be medically fit to work both on the surface and underground.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication skills.
