Job Overview

We are looking for a decisive and innovative professional with experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. As a National Account Manager Assistant, you will support the National Account Manager (NAM) in managing key accounts, specifically focusing on Pick n Pay.

The goal of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of our accounts through efficient administration, proactive planning, and excellent customer service. You will also manage point-of-sale materials and help grow our product categories and revenue.

Requirements

  • Matric certificate.
  • A Degree or Diploma in Marketing or Sales.
  • A valid Code EB driver’s license.
  • At least 3 years of experience in account management or administrative support within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

Account Support & Administration

  • Assist the National Account Manager in building and maintaining relationships with retail representatives.
  • Handle administrative tasks efficiently to meet both internal and external customer needs.
  • Manage price files and resolve any related queries.
  • Prepare professional sales materials, including presentations, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Schedule and lead weekly meetings with customer support teams.

Strategy & Market Research

  • Conduct regular research on competitors and market trends.
  • Help develop account strategies and volume plans.
  • Analyze product assortments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Participate in sales volume forecasting and financial reporting.

Growth & Promotion

  • Execute growth plans and track the success of new product launches and promotions.
  • Manage the promotional activity schedule to drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee the advertising budget for various product categories.
  • Ensure all pricing and promotional activities comply with company mandates.
  • Work across different departments to identify and act on new business opportunities.
