About the Programme
Lesaka Technologies is a leading South African fintech company dedicated to providing innovative financial services to underserviced consumers and merchants. We are looking for ambitious, energetic, and target-driven young professionals to join our Sales Internship Programme.
This is not a desk-bound role. You will be out in the field gaining real-world experience, building commercial skills, and learning directly from high-performing sales professionals.
What You Will Do
As a Sales Intern, you will learn the core mechanics of sales success by working directly with our merchants and business owners. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Account Sales Executives in growing the business.
- Engaging directly with merchants to promote digital payment solutions and prepaid products.
- Assisting with the onboarding process for new clients.
- Conducting field visits within your assigned territory.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to help with retention.
- Learning how to manage sales targets, pipelines, and performance metrics.
- Participating in professional sales training and development sessions.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be between 18 and 29 years old.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Currently unemployed.
- Must hold a Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- A Diploma or Degree in Sales, Business Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willingness to travel for field work.
- A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle are highly beneficial.
