Finance Internship (Workplace Integrated Learning)

Novus Holdings is one of the largest commercial printing and manufacturing operations in South Africa. With our headquarters in Cape Town and a national presence, we provide high-quality paper-based products to a wide range of industries. We are currently looking for a motivated Finance Intern to join our team in the Western Cape.

Role Overview

This 12-month internship is designed for students who require practical work experience to complete their qualification. You will support our accountants with the daily functions of the Finance department, gaining valuable hands-on exposure to a professional financial environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a Finance Intern, you will assist the team with various tasks, including:

  • Handling customer invoicing, as well as credit and debit note entries.
  • Identifying and resolving billing errors to ensure accurate records.
  • Verifying charges against quotations and supporting documents.
  • Assisting with monthly management reporting.
  • Reconciling supplier accounts and balance sheets.
  • Resolving financial queries and assisting with ad hoc requests.

Requirements and Skills

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following:

  • Basic practical exposure within a financial or accounting environment.
  • Strong numerical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
