Role Overview

We are seeking three dedicated PhD students to join our Plant Breeding research projects. These are three-year fixed-term contracts designed for individuals who are passionate about agricultural science and wish to advance their academic and professional careers within a leading research environment.

Key Performance Areas

  • Provide high-quality research support to assigned Plant Breeding projects.
  • Work closely with fellow students, technical staff, senior researchers, and external collaborators.
  • Engage with relevant industry stakeholders to support project goals.
  • Share research findings through scientific journals, popular publications, and academic conferences.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all health and safety (SHE/OHS) policies.

Job Requirements

  • A Master’s degree (MSc) in Plant Breeding, Molecular Breeding, or Plant Biotechnology.
  • A proven ability to conduct independent research.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • A valid driver’s license is considered an added advantage.
