About the Role
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is looking for a dedicated Administrative Officer to join the team in Hoedspruit. Our mission is to provide safe, sustainable, and integrated transport services while ensuring public safety and effective oversight of transport infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
- Registering taxi associations and non-members.
- Arranging and coordinating operating license board meetings.
- Verifying vehicle ownership details.
- Issuing permits and operating licenses.
Job Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Transport Planning, Transport Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Transport Economics, or Transport Operations.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related field.
- License: A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
Required Knowledge and Skills
We are looking for a candidate with a professional profile that includes:
- Understanding of the PFMA and financial policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal relations.
- Problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Competency in project management and strategic leadership.
