Role Overview
The Presidency is mandated to support the President and Deputy President in their constitutional responsibilities to lead the government and society. We are looking for a professional Personal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to our senior management team.
Minimum Requirements
- A Senior Certificate plus a Secretarial Diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a support role for senior management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong professional etiquette and a customer-focused approach.
- A high level of honesty, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required.
Required Knowledge
The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of:
- The Public Service Regulatory Framework and Government policy processes.
- The Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
- Monitoring and evaluation tools and techniques.
- Financial accounting principles (GAAP/GRAP).
- Official protocol, security measures, and travel procedures.
Technical Skills
- Analytical and negotiation skills.
- Effective project and office management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and the ability to gather and analyze information.
