Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team in Mahikeng. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, ensuring every customer has a positive shopping experience through excellent service, efficient point-of-sale operations, and organized merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer transactions at the till accurately and efficiently.
• Process payments, scan merchandise, and manage cash safely.
• Promote the Clicks Clubcard program and help customers sign up to meet store targets.
• Keep customers informed about current promotions and product deals.
• Provide friendly and professional service to every shopper.
• Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising, and keeping the store clean and organized.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and store events to provide accurate information to customers.

What We Are Looking For

• Knowledge: Basic math skills and an understanding of retail or stock management.
• Skills: Good communication, problem-solving, and basic computer literacy.
• Attitude: A strong focus on customer service, a positive approach to teamwork, and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Resilience: The ability to work well under pressure in a busy retail environment.

Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
• Preferences: A minimum of 50% in both Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level is an advantage.
