We are currently looking for a motivated Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team at the Cembisa Mall branch.
Role Purpose
The main goal of this position is to provide excellent customer service. You will be responsible for handling point-of-sale (POS) activities, assisting customers on the floor, and ensuring the store is well-merchandised and organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash and process customer payments accurately and efficiently at the till.
- Scan merchandise correctly and ensure all items are paid for.
- Promote the Clicks ClubCard program and help customers sign up for rewards.
- Share information about current promotions and deals to help customers save money.
- Deliver friendly and professional service as a brand ambassador.
- Help with merchandising, restocking shelves, and keeping the store clean and tidy.
- Stay updated on product information to answer customer questions accurately.
Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Basic math and numeracy skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and store procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Knowledge of stock management and merchandising principles.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to solve problems and work well under pressure.
- A passion for working with people and delivering results.
