Role Purpose
The primary goal of this role is to provide excellent customer service. You will handle point-of-sale (POS) activities, assist customers with their purchases, and ensure the store is well-merchandised and clean to create a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash and process customer payments accurately at the point of sale.
- Scan merchandise efficiently and manage ClubCard rewards.
- Promote the Clicks ClubCard program and help customers sign up.
- Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
- Act as a brand ambassador by providing friendly and professional service.
- Maintain store displays and ensure general housekeeping standards are met.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and upcoming events to assist customers effectively.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Essential: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Desirable: At least 50% in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic mathematical calculations and numeracy.
- Understanding of retail, merchandising, and stock management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
