Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Principal Provincial Inspector to lead and monitor traffic law enforcement activities. The successful candidate will ensure that road traffic and public transport regulations are strictly followed to improve public safety.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
  • A valid Traffic Officer’s Diploma.
  • Official registration as a Traffic Officer.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in Traffic Law Enforcement.
  • Valid driving licenses for both heavy and light vehicles (Code A and EC).
  • A clean record (no criminal history).

Required Knowledge and Skills

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

  • Enforcement Knowledge: Extensive understanding of road traffic and public transport policies, vehicle inspections, and impoundment procedures.
  • Leadership & Management: Proven ability in people management, resource allocation, and monitoring team performance.
  • Administration: Skills in record-keeping, report writing, and the completion of official law enforcement documentation.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to handle customer relationships and labor relations.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical thinking with the ability to handle investigations and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic computer literacy and experience in project or operations management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize traffic law enforcement operations.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with transport regulations.
  • Supervise staff and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor road safety and coordinate vehicle inspection activities.
