Clicks Group is a leading retail healthcare group in South Africa, operating well-known brands like Clicks, GNC, The Body Shop, and Claire’s. We are currently looking for a professional and customer-oriented Shop Assistant Cashier to join our team at the Farrarmere branch in Benoni.

Job Summary

• Education: Matric (Grade 12)

Role Purpose

The primary goal of this position is to provide excellent customer service. This involves handling point-of-sale (POS) activities, managing merchandise, and ensuring every customer has a positive experience in our store.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout.
• Handle cash securely and scan merchandise correctly.
• Promote the Clicks Clubcard program and assist new members with registration.
• Inform customers about current promotions and special deals to help them save money.
• Act as a brand ambassador by providing friendly, professional, and visible service.
• Assist with merchandising, stock replenishment, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and store events to provide accurate information to shoppers.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is essential.
• A minimum of 50% in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level is preferred.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is an advantage.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic mathematical and numerical skills.
• Understanding of retail, merchandising, and stock management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet customer expectations.
