Role Summary

In this role, you will identify and implement community development projects. You will work closely with community members and stakeholders to ensure these initiatives are sustainable and effective. You will also provide administrative support and stay updated on the latest trends in the community development field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead community development projects in partnership with local stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with relevant organizations to ensure project sustainability.
  • Provide administrative support for all community development activities.
  • Research and stay informed about new developments in the field to improve service delivery.
  • Support and guide communities toward self-empowerment.

Requirements

  • A recognized qualification (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in Development Studies.
  • A valid driver’s license (exceptions made for persons with disabilities).
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Professional Knowledge: Understanding of community development, human behavior, social systems, and relevant laws.
  • Project Management: Ability to coordinate community structures and manage social projects effectively.
  • Financial Basics: Knowledge of basic financial management.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literacy and basic research skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to influence and motivate individuals and groups toward self-improvement.
