The Limpopo Department of Social Development is committed to transforming society by building conscious and capable citizens through integrated social development services. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Deputy Director for Monitoring and Evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the department’s efforts in tracking performance and ensuring accountability. Main duties include:

  • Developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems, frameworks, and policies.
  • Promoting a culture of evidence-based decision-making across the department.
  • Training and mentoring staff to improve their M&E skills and methodologies.
  • Overseeing the monitoring of departmental programs and initiatives.
  • Leading program evaluations to assess impact, effectiveness, and value for money.
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve organizational outcomes.
  • Ensuring all data collected for monitoring purposes is accurate, reliable, and submitted on time.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A recognized NQF Level 6 qualification (or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Public Administration, or Public Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years at a Junior or Middle Management level.
  • A valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
