Admin Clerk: District Coordination
The Eastern Cape Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) is responsible for managing and developing provincial government assets and infrastructure. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Admin Clerk for District Coordination in the Eastern Cape.

Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate (Matric).
- No previous work experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative, data management, and procurement tasks to support the department’s goals.
Office and Administrative Support
- Organize venues and bookings for meetings.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence and write meeting minutes.
- Communicate with public bodies regarding general administrative matters.
- Provide secretarial support to steering committees according to set standards.
Data Management and Monitoring
- Capture and verify data for Public Works and Infrastructure projects to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain an organized filing system for the unit.
- Conduct monthly checks to compare captured data with system information.
- Perform site visits to verify that projects are following EPWP guidelines.
- Collect and organize documents such as attendance registers, payment copies, and employment contracts.
Procurement and Budget Support
- Assist with monitoring budgets to prevent under- or overspending.
- Handle procurement requests for accommodation, stationery, fuel claims, and other essential goods and services.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and contains the necessary signatures.
- Keep records of incurred expenditures up to date.
