Role Overview

We are looking for a professional Code 10 Driver to join our Building Department. In this role, you will ensure that goods are delivered accurately, punctually, and in excellent condition. You will be the face of our company to many customers, making professional service and safe driving your top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service during every delivery to promote customer satisfaction.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and report any defects to your supervisor immediately.
• Route Planning: Plan the most efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals.
• Documentation: Accurately complete daily trip sheets, logbooks, and delivery documents. Ensure all stock transfers are signed for by the receiving branch.
• Stock Management: Verify that all outgoing stock has the correct paperwork before loading and assist with regular stock takes.
• Supervision: Ensure that truck assistants remain with the vehicle at all times and work efficiently.

Requirements

• Education: Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional driving experience. Candidates without a Matric certificate will be considered if they have a valid license and 3 years of driving experience.
• Licensing: A valid Code 10 Driver’s License and a valid PDP (Public Driving Permit for Goods and Passengers).
• Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent time management, and the ability to handle pressure.
• Knowledge: A good understanding of vehicle loading procedures and safety standards.
