Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager for our Power Fashion branch in Phola Park, Mpumalanga. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations and take full responsibility for the store in their absence. You will play a key part in maintaining high standards of merchandising, security, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities

• Store Management: Relieve the Store Manager and ensure the store runs smoothly in their absence.
• Financial Controls: Manage banking procedures, oversee the cash office, and ensure front-end controls are strictly followed.
• Operational Standards: Maintain company standards regarding housekeeping, merchandising, and security.
• Stock Control: Implement measures to minimize stock loss (shrinkage).
• Staff Leadership: Assist in managing and motivating the team to maintain productivity.
• Customer Service: Drive sales initiatives to reach store targets and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Compliance: Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed correctly.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics is an advantage) or NQF Level 4.
• Experience: Previous experience in managing people or leading a department. Experience in clothing retail is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Leadership: A natural decision-maker who is proactive, self-motivated, and able to plan effectively.
• Values: High level of integrity, honesty, and an enthusiastic approach to work.
