Role Purpose

The primary goal of this role is to provide excellent service to our customers. You will be responsible for efficient point-of-sale (POS) operations, managing cash, and ensuring the store is well-merchandised to create a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all point-of-sale activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Scan merchandise and process payments securely while handling cash with care.
  • Promote the Clicks ClubCard program and encourage new memberships.
  • Inform customers about current promotions and deals to help them “feel good and pay less.”
  • Act as a brand ambassador by providing friendly, professional, and visible service.
  • Maintain store standards through regular merchandising and general housekeeping duties.
  • Stay informed about products and store events to provide accurate information to shoppers.

Requirements and Skills

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is essential. Ideally, a minimum of 50% in both Math and English.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and strong numeracy skills.
  • Personal Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a strong focus on customer service.
  • Behavioral Traits: The ability to follow procedures, work well under pressure, and meet customer expectations.
