We are currently looking for a motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our Power Fashion team in Alice, Eastern Cape.

Role Summary

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in daily operations. Your primary goal is to ensure the store maintains high standards of service, security, and efficiency. You will step in to lead the team whenever the Store Manager is away.

Key Responsibilities

• Store Operations: Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager and ensure all company procedures are followed.
• Financial Control: Handle banking duties, oversee the cash office, and ensure strict front-end controls.
• Stock Management: Minimize stock loss (shrinkage) and maintain high standards for merchandising and housekeeping.
• Team Leadership: Assist in managing staff, maintaining discipline, and encouraging a productive work environment.
• Customer Service: Drive sales initiatives to meet store targets while ensuring customers receive excellent service.

Requirements

• Education: Matric / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4). A background in Mathematics is an advantage.
• Experience: Previous experience in managing people and overseeing a department.
• Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in clothing retail is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong administrative and communication skills, with the ability to plan and organize effectively.
• Personal Attributes: You should be an ethical, honest, and self-motivated leader who can make decisions under pressure.
