Requirements
- A Matric certificate.
- A Trade Test Certificate in any Built Environment field.
- At least five (5) years of experience as an Artisan after qualifying.
- A valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Production
- Supervise and create designs based on client needs and production limits.
- Ensure all produced objects and projects meet quality standards and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate materials and equipment for each job.
Maintenance and Repairs
- Inspect facilities and equipment to identify technical faults.
- Repair equipment and facilities according to set safety and quality standards.
- Test all repairs to ensure they meet required specifications.
Administration and Leadership
- Update maintenance logs and repair records.
- Compile and submit regular progress reports.
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule work for staff.
- Manage human and capital resources effectively.
- Ensure all work follows safety regulations and standards.
Professional Development
- Keep up to date with new technologies and industry procedures.
- Research new technical methods to improve departmental expertise.
