We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Junior Packing and Logistics Assistant to join a team specializing in freeze-dried products.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure that products are labeled, packed, and shipped correctly while maintaining high standards of hygiene and organization. Your main tasks will include:

• Labeling and Packaging: Apply labels neatly to product pouches, ensuring they are straight, clean, and match the specific batch.
• Order Fulfillment: Use pick sheets to pack orders accurately. You must pack items securely to prevent breakage or moisture damage during transit.
• Shipping and Logistics: Prepare courier labels and waybills for the correct orders. Stage completed packages for collection and assist with handing them over to couriers.
• Inventory Management: Assist with regular stock counts of finished goods and packaging materials. Help keep storage areas neat and follow stock rotation principles (FIFO/FEFO).
• Operational Support: Step in to help other departments when needed. This includes assisting in the kitchen or production area during busy times, cleaning, or performing rework tasks.
• Safety and Hygiene: Follow all food safety, hygiene, and protective clothing requirements at all times to keep the facility audit-ready.

Requirements

• A valid Matric certificate.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• A flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Attention to detail, especially regarding labeling and product safety.
