Manager: Electrical Engineering Services

About the Position
Langeberg Municipality is looking for a qualified and experienced professional to fill the role of Manager: Electrical Engineering Services. This is a re-advertisement for a leadership position responsible for managing the municipality’s electrical infrastructure and engineering department.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (NQF Level 7).
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
- A valid Government Certificate of Competency (GCC).
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
- A valid Code B driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the electrical engineering section.
- Oversee and manage the department’s budget and financial planning.
- Supervise personnel and manage departmental administration.
- Plan, manage, and supervise capital projects and infrastructure development.
- Monitor the performance of external contractors.
- Ensure effective vehicle and resource control within the department.
- Collaborate with other departments and provide regular reports to the Director.
