Role Summary

We are seeking a qualified Grade A Examiner of Driving Licenses to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating applicants’ fitness and competence to operate motor vehicles, ensuring all road safety standards and legal requirements are met.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• A valid Grade A Examiner of Driving Licenses certificate.
• Valid Code A and EC driving licenses.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, including previous supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in computer systems, specifically MS Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct eyesight screenings to ensure applicants meet the visual requirements for their specific vehicle class.
• Verify that applicants comply with all legal requirements for obtaining a learner’s license.
• Evaluate the practical driving competence of applicants, ensuring they follow the rules of the road and understand road signs.
• Maintain accurate records of all passed and failed driving tests.
• Retrieve and manage information and data as required by the department.
• Provide professional and efficient service to members of the public.
• Ensure all administrative duties are executed accurately and in line with municipal policy.
