Senior IDP Officer

OR Tambo District Municipality, located in the Wild Coast Region of the Eastern Cape, is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Senior IDP Officer. This role is based in Mthatha and reports directly to the IDP Manager.

Position Overview

• Job Type: Full Time
• Location: Mthatha, Eastern Cape
• Salary: R 538,554.49 – R 699,090.94 per annum (excluding benefits)
• Field: Project Management / Public Administration

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• A National Diploma in Public Administration or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• A valid Code EB driving license.
• At least three years of experience working within an Integrated Development Planning (IDP) environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Organizing and managing activities related to the sub-section’s strategic and operational plans.
• Overseeing the processes for creating and reviewing the institutional IDP.
• Managing the Integrated Development Planning framework.
• Ensuring effective financial and asset management within the section.
• Monitoring staff performance and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sub-section.
• Handling administrative tasks and preparing necessary reports for the department.
• Assisting with stakeholder engagement and departmental communications.
