Shop Assistant / Cashier – Clicks Quagga Centre
Job Overview
Clicks Group is looking for a motivated Shop Assistant and Cashier to join our team at the Quagga Centre in Pretoria. The main goal of this role is to provide excellent customer service, manage till point operations efficiently, and ensure the store is well-merchandised to create a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Act as a brand ambassador by greeting customers, being visible on the shop floor, and providing professional assistance.
- Point of Sale: Process transactions accurately and quickly, handle cash securely, and assist customers with Clicks Clubcard rewards.
- Sales Promotion: Inform customers about current promotions to help them “feel good and pay less” and actively enroll new members into the Clubcard program.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and organized by following merchandising standards and restocking shelves as needed.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on product ranges, deals, and events to provide accurate information to shoppers.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is essential. A score of 50% or higher in Mathematics and English is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is an advantage.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and strong numerical skills for handling calculations.
