The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) invites applications for a Food Aide Service position to support catering operations within the Office of the Deputy Minister. This role contributes to maintaining efficient kitchen operations and ministerial hospitality services.
Position Details
Location: DMPR Head Office, South Africa
Annual Salary: R138,486 (Level 02 Compensation)

Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment
- Assist with food preparation and meal service operations
- Maintain inventory control of utensils and catering supplies
- Implement strict hygiene protocols and safety standards
- Manage food waste disposal in compliance with regulations
- Support event catering for ministerial functions
Minimum Qualifications
- ABET Level 2 Certificate or equivalent basic education
- Understanding of Public Service regulations and procedures
- Knowledge of parliamentary operational requirements
- Effective communication skills in English (verbal/written)
Preferred Competencies
- Ability to work in fast-paced government environment
- Basic food handling certification (advantageous)
- Experience working with diverse cultural groups
