Position Overview:
Begin your career in beauty retail through Dis-Chem’s structured 12-month learnership program. This hands-on training opportunity combines classroom learning with practical experience in cosmetics sales and customer service across our nationwide stores.
Core Responsibilities:
Stock Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels and product freshness through regular rotation
- Conduct weekly inventory checks and flag expired/damaged merchandise
- Organize stockroom following company safety and efficiency standards
Sales & Merchandising
- Create attractive product displays using visual merchandising principles
- Conduct live product demonstrations and beauty consultations
- Maintain pricing accuracy and promotional signage
Customer Engagement
- Provide expert advice on skincare and cosmetic products
- Process transactions at cosmetic department POS systems
- Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in beauty retail environment
- Basic makeup application knowledge
- Understanding of skin types and product formulations
