About the Position
The Special Workman will carry out operational projects on the non‑energised electrical distribution network across Tshwane. The role requires meeting targets for time, cost, resources and quality while strictly following the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993).
Key Responsibilities
- Use resources efficiently to keep projects cost‑effective and on schedule.
- Build and maintain the electrical network to support reliable service delivery.
- Ensure the existing network remains stable and safe.
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Work on a rotational basis across operational teams to develop multi‑skilling.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 qualification.
- Linesman and cable courses are an advantage.
- At least six months of relevant experience in local authority electrical networks.
- Valid Code C1 driving licence with a valid PrDP.
- Good physical fitness and health.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Willingness to work shifts, standby and overtime.
- Willingness to be posted anywhere in Tshwane as required.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check, including fingerprinting at own cost.
