2026 SABS Youth Development Programme: Customer Partnering

The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) is a national statutory body responsible for maintaining standardization and quality in South Africa. We are currently inviting unemployed graduates to apply for our one-year Youth Development Programme starting in April 2026.

This internship is specifically for the Customer Partnering (Business Development) department. It is designed to provide practical work experience, professional mentoring, and learning opportunities that align with national skills development goals.

Programme Details

  • Duration: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
  • Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
  • Monthly Stipend: R8,000.00
  • Closing Date: 6th March 2026

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • Must have completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • Achieved a minimum academic average of 80% for the completed qualification.
  • Must be currently unemployed with no previous formal work experience in their field of study.

Key Responsibilities

Participants will gain hands-on experience through the following activities:

  • Participating in structured training and development initiatives.
  • Gaining practical workplace experience through rotational assignments.
  • Assisting with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks.
  • Applying academic knowledge to real-world business scenarios.
  • Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet organizational objectives.
  • Submitting progress reports and completing assessments throughout the programme.
