2026 SABS Youth Development Programme: Customer Partnering
The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) is the national institution responsible for promoting and maintaining standardization and quality in South Africa. We are currently seeking motivated, unemployed graduates to join our 2026 Youth Development Programme.
This 12-month internship is designed to provide practical work exposure, mentorship, and professional learning opportunities. The program will begin in April 2026 and is based in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Program Details
- Duration: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
- Monthly Stipend: R8,000.00
- Field: Customer Partnering / Customer Engagement
- Location: Pretoria
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must have completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- Must have achieved a minimum 80% academic average for the completed qualification.
- Must have no formal work experience related to the field of study.
- Must be currently unemployed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will gain hands-on experience through the following activities:
- Participating in structured training and professional development initiatives.
- Gaining practical experience through departmental rotations and hands-on learning.
- Assisting with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks.
- Applying academic knowledge to solve real-world business problems.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet organizational goals.
- Submitting progress reports and completing assessments throughout the programme.
