We are currently looking for two energetic and professional Assistant Store Managers to join our team at the Eastgate branch.
Role Purpose
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the shop runs smoothly. Your goal is to drive sales, lead the team, and provide excellent customer service while meeting all company standards and targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales: Increase store profit by managing promotional activities, cross-selling, and ensuring the team provides top-tier service.
- Store Operations: Manage daily tasks including stock control, cleaning, and administration.
- Merchandising: Ensure the store looks professional and follows brand guidelines for displays and layouts.
- Team Leadership: Support the Store Manager in motivating staff, managing work schedules, and leading the team in the manager’s absence.
- Customer Loyalty: Encourage customers to join the ClubCard program and ensure every visitor has a great shopping experience.
- Administration: Complete weekly reports, manage employee time records, and ensure HR documents are submitted on time.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (with at least 50% in both Mathematics and English).
- Qualification: A retail or business management degree or diploma is required for external applicants.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an Assistant Store Manager in a retail or FMCG environment. (Completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme is also accepted).
- Finance: Experience managing budgets and understanding profit and loss statements.
