About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support financial and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reconciliations and a proven track record of meeting strict monthly deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all reporting is completed on time. Your main duties will include:
- Preparing monthly reconciliation statements for landlords and partners regarding billboard performance.
- Processing transactions, bulk CSV imports, and bank reconciliations using XERO.
- Managing petty cash and processing salaries through SageOne.
- Submitting statutory taxes (EMP201) via SARS eFiling and preparing payments.
- Updating electricity consumption reconciliations and insurance schedules.
- Creating and maintaining billboard project data within the accounting system.
- Providing general administrative and accounting support to the department.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Matric certificate and a relevant bookkeeping qualification.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within an accounting practice.
- Software Skills: Essential proficiency in XERO and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Expertise: Strong experience in complex reconciliations.
